Okay folks, here’s the deal. Today is beautiful outside. In fact, it’s about 15 degrees warmer today than at this time yesterday. However, with tonight’s temps forecast to be around 10 degrees and a high of 25 degrees for Saturday, the odds of refreezing/black ice potentially becomes a major safety issue. Snow is fine. Ice is not.

I will provide the entertainment. Here are your options:
1) Coach Alexis recreates the Chaos in Cozumel and dances to the hits in nothing but a speedo and a massive sombrero.
2) A feature movie.
And the movie wins by a landslide….so relieved.
Afterwards, we can do an impromptu happy hour at Smash Burgers which is right next door. Yummy!
You could opt to stay at home and spin on your own”¦.alone”¦..bored”¦.sad”¦”¦OR you could pack the bike and trainer, schlep over to Falls Church and do a Team Z group spin. FUN”¦ ENTERTAINING”¦. SOCIAL”¦.NOT BORING”¦.HAPPY”¦.. NOT SAD AND LONELY.

Here is your time frame:
8:45 AM- Start arriving and begin setting up your trainer and bike. Please try to arrive before 9:00 AM as it can get crazy.
9:30 AM-start of group spin and movie
11:30 AM- end of group spin and movie. Head over to Smash Burger for lunch.
***Notes on spins/rides/swims: Yes the winter focus is on training for run races – we don’t have much of a choice in the matter. However , we still train you for these races like you are triathletes. Meaning – the swims, bikes, boot camps….this is all part of your training plans. Call it cross training – call it whatever you like. The bottom line is that these are PART of your training plans and not intended to be optional. If you were “only” runners – we’d have you running more times per week. Get in those swims and bike rides – they will help you build your fitness toward taper and race periods! ***
