Saturday Group Run 8:00 AM Fletcher’s Boathouse Washington, DC
We moved the run to Fletcher’s Boathouse so people could go from the race to the Tri-Mania expo. Everyone has between 1 – 16 miles this weekend – this is a great place for these distances. For those training for the North Face Challenge, you have a heavy mileage this weekend. Abe has mapped out a good route – see below:
50 milers do 28; 50k-ers do 22. Since the group run will be at Fletchers, I mapped out what could be a decent run – check the link:
http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/652937034
The loop is 12.7 miles. I figure that those doing 28 can do the loop twice and then finish their last couple of miles with an out-and-back on the towpath, and those doing 22 can do the loop twice but cut off the Roosevelt Island detour on the second loop.
When: Saturday, 8:00 AM
Where: Fletcher’s Boathouse
Run leader: Kathy Hsu
Street Address: 4940 Canal Road NW, Washington, DC

Saturday Tri-Mania Expo 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Bender Arena, Washington, DC
This expo has been a huge hit the past few years. Team Z always brings a huge presence and there are plenty of vendors to visit and presentations to attend. Ken Mierke is doing a few clinics he wanted to make sure you know about. See below:

Scope It Out 5k – 9:00 AM – Freedom Plaza – Washington, DC
This race has long been a staple of the Team Z race calendar, and we hope many of you will be able to join us on Sunday for this fun event. (Reminder: Please vote on the poll!)

Race Start: 9:00 AM
Team Z Race Directors: Nicolas Nouvel and Siri Oswald
Pre-Race Meeting: Nicolas and Siri will be at one of the flagpoles in Freedom Plaza starting at 8 AM. Wear your Team Z gear and look for us at the flagpoles. We won’t be able to watch your stuff, so please use the race gear-check for anything you aren’t planning to have with you during the 5K.

Post-Race Breakfast: Most restaurants in the area will be crowded (because who doesn’t love breakfast after a 5K?!), but last year we went to Lincoln’s Waffle Shop on 10th and E St NW and that worked well. We’ll be heading back there again this year.
