Sunday Heart Rate Training Clinic – 4:00 PM – Arlington Oaks – Arlington, VA

Come for part, come for all. But PLEASE try to make the clinic! It is important and in the long run I really believe that what you learn about HRT will most affect your training with Team Z and what you get from this experience.

The clinic is well organized and the presentation is made by one of our teammates who is a PhD in Bio Chemistry. He will help you understand WHY Heart Rate Training works, and most importantly Matt will teach you what is happening inside your bodywhen you follow the training plans that are designed for you. If you can stay for the entire seminar I KNOW that you will learn more than you realize! You do not need to bring anything unless you’d like to take notes.†¨Ã¢â‚¬ ¨New Z’s – this is traditionally our most popular clinic and for good reason – really prioritize this one!
Clinic Leader: Matt Wolfe

Where:   Arlington Oaks, Arlington, VA

Rock n’ Roll Marathon Expo Help – Thursday and Friday

Again, quoting Alexis’ earlier email – just want to make sure he has the help he needs!

If you are available for a few hours on Thursday or Friday, we could definitely use your help at the Team Z booth at the Rock N Roll DC EXPO.

The EXPO takes place on Thursday from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Friday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM

By far, the growth of our team has been by word of mouth. People see us at races being all enthusiastic, cheering for everybody( not just Zers), and just looking like a fun group to be with. The Expo is an opportunity to let lots of people( like 20,000+) know about why Team Z is so awesome. All the expos we do are SUPER important in order for us to exist as a team. I cannot emphasize this enough.

Our goal is to be able to invite as many folks as possible to our information meetings. In order to do this, we need to collect contact information. The ideal scenario would be to have two folks at the booth for two hour increments throughout each day. Most of you have day time jobs which would conflict with helping out. I get it and I’ll take what I can get. I will be there both days . In fact, I will be there today to set up our booth.

In the worse case scenario, I will be be working solo. In preparation I will be going to CVS, and buying some DEPENDS adult Diapers in case I need to use the bathroom.

Here are your options:

1) Have Coach Alexis work solo and wear an adult diaper.

2) Save Coach Alexis and Team Z from embarrassment and humiliation and help out at the Expo.

I know. It’s tough choice.

There are three requirements in order to be able to help at the EXPO.

1) You must be comfortable engaging people in conversation and talking about Team Z.

2) You must smile!

3) You must be wearing a Team Z shirt. If you do not have any Team Z  shirts, please let me know and I will bring every Team Z shirt I have from my closet and lend it to you.

I will have tons of drinks and munchies for your nutritional requirements.

If you can help out, especially any time from 12-5 PM either day, please contact me today at coachalexis@triteamz.com.   It’s totally okay if you can only spare one hour. It’s also totally okay if you can only help out after 5 PM. What I want to avoid is zero folks from 12-5 and 18 Zers from 5-7 PM either day. Please wait to hear from me before showing up. It may be that I have enough folks for a specific shift and I can’t use you. Please don’t take it personally.

Expo Address: The Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Mt. Vernon Place NW, Washington, DC (http://www.dcconvention.com/Venues/ConventionCenter/DirectionsAndParking.aspx)

Metro Station: Mt. Vernon Square

Expo times: Thursday 12 PM – 7 PM, Friday 10 AM – 7 PM
