This is the beginning a recovery week, so make plans to get cozy with your fellow Zers at the Wednesday Happy Hours. We also have a Red Nose Run planned for this weekend. If there are any delays or cancellations, we will post it as soon as possible. If you hear of any delays or cancellations, please let us know so that we can send it out to the entire team.
  • There is also a chance that the weather will affect our weekend plans. Many of you have 20 mile runs to complete, so we really, REALLY hope that the weather cooperates. Please continue to check your email and the Team Z website for any possible modifications to our weekend activities.

  • WHAT’S A RED NOSE RUN AND WHY SHOULD I CARE?

Because it’s sooooo much fun! Winter can be a grind, especially when its bitter cold and you need to get a long run done for your training. With that in mind, the Red Nose Run was created as a Team Z member “race” to have some fun while getting your workout in. The best part about it”¦ the winner is the person who is closest to their predicted time. Level playing field here folks! So you back of the packers, this is your opportunity to WIN! As a bonus, this gives you an opportunity to gauge your pace by perceived exertion instead of heart rate.

There will be a nominal registration fee with 100% of the profits going to the National MS Society via our awesome friends Kate and Nelson Morse! In addition, the Morse’s will be raffling off a ton of stuff that I’m sure you’ll want to have.

Rules:   You pick your distance, you estimate your time.   You are not allowed to wear a watch (this is a test people!).     After the race, we will take the data home and calculate the winner by the closest to their predicted finish time.

Divisions: This year’s Red Nose Runs will be divided into two divisions”¦

– The Red Nose Division is for folks running less than 10 miles

– The Runny Nose Division is for folks running 10 or more miles

Awards:

– Winner, closest predicted time, each division.
