***Note: Sunday’s Ride is in flux.   I do not have any staff assigned to the ride except for myself and I’m double booked.   It was supposed to be an indoor spin ”“ our last of the season baring anything funky.

As of now ”“ the weather for Saturday looks awesome, so I’m asking for input on whether you’d like the team to have an unsupported ride, stay inside for the group spin/movie, or ride on your own.

  1. Important Announcements and Reminders for this week
  • This week is race week for those at Shamrock or Scope it out 5k.
  • For the rest of us it is a transition week and group activities are quiet.     Swims are on as normal, Yoga is on for Friday AM.
  • In light of the quiet week ”“ I thought I’d try to get an “all team group run and happy hour” put together for this coming Wednesday. The run will start a little later than usual at 6:45 PM at PRR Arlington, and then we will hit the Greene Turtle in Ballston at around 7:30 PM.   I hope to see as many Maryland and Westies (and Arlingtonians) there as possible.
  • Tuesday 3/15 Coach Ed is meeting several newer/nervous swimmers at Providence Rec Center in the AM and Claude Moore Rec Center in the PM.   Please join in if you fit in this category and I mean everyone!
  • Don’t forget where to find  our race discounts, as well as race/event plans for the year.  Members.triteamz.com then Files Section ”“  Annual Planning Resources Folder.   Keep these discounts in the family ”“ I will ask for reports and non-Zrs using our discount codes will be corrected by the race directors.
  • Don’t forget that Colonies Zones Swim Meet is open for registration.   This is a Friday night swim meet on April 8 held locally at George Mason University.
  • You can choose the 1,000 freestyle or the 1,650.   This a swim in the Pool event.
  • We will all start from in water.   No diving. No flip turns.   Teammates count for you.
  • Meet is reverse seeded so fast people go first (then go home).   Then the last 3-4 heats (or more) are ALL Team Zrs.   No pressure event ”“ I promise everyone always LOVES this event.
  • Especially if you want to test yourself in a safe, familiar environment.   You can rest on walls ”“ swim any stroke you like (freestyle literally means any style you want).
  • Get that entry in before the race fills up.   The mile fills every year.  https://www.clubassistant.com/club/meet_information.cfm?c=1463&smid=7077
