The week of 5/9-5/16 in Team Z – AND KINETIC RACE WEEKEND EVENT BRITE POLL PLEASE VOTE!

NOTE THE RACE WEEKEND VOTING PLEASE:  WE shop on Thursday, Your vote on Thursday afternoon or Friday is meaningless and causes extra work.  Please help!  

Ahem….

  • Kinetic is this weekend
  • There are only 3 weeks of work, 2 recovery weeks, and then taper – then we race Williamsburg!
  • There are only 5 weeks of training for Ironman Lake Placid remaining.  3 more recovery weeks and 3 of taper.
  • Rock Hall is in 3 weeks
  • Syracuse in 5.
  • 11 weeks of training, 6 recovery,

I’m sure excites some of you, and it might make some of you nervous. If you need help with a training plan or a perspective check – please email me. I know I have a few of you still to get to, but I’m collecting a new bucket. I got to most people last weekend and I’m on top of it!

  1. Weekend Look Ahead

Poll:   Please Vote Early!  (RACE WEEKEND POLL:  THIS IS AN EVENT BRITE POLL)  

  1. This is a race weekend.
  2. Race weekend polls are voted on using event brite
  3. Some tickets are free – for example – “I’m staying home to do the group brick workout on Saturday at Riley’s Lock.
  4. Still others may be free – forexmple – I’m coming down to cheer and get in a practice swim
  5. The options are endless and wildly exciting!

There is a local “group brick” from Riley’s Lock.  Please understand that this is an UNSUPPORTED brick.  We meet as a group – I’ll have someone volunteer to bring a sign in sheet and cue sheets – but there will be no sag drivers or workout leaders.

Please recognize that you are also welcome to do your workout at Lake Anna and Cheer and hang out with us.  Just stay out of the way of the race (eg – start riding at 6 am OR 2 pm so you are out of the way of the race).   You may do teh event brite, hang out, camp, drink beer, whatever you like!

“Crew” will arrive no later than Friday Morning.  We have a professional big white tent set up all he way to the left of the race site.  We will not have to worry about rain.  Our Menus look like this for this weekend.

  1. Saturday and Sunday Menus are as follows:
  • Friday Dinner (6PM) will be catered:  Italian.  Pasta, some with or without protein, a salad, bread, etc.
  • Saturday/Sunday Breakfast:  (1.5-2 hours before races start)  Pancakes, Bacon, Toasted Bagels, English Muffins, Assorted Fruit, Coffee, PB/J, Cream Cheese, Butter, Almond Butter, Nuttela
  • Saturday Lunch:  Pulled Pork, Pork Tenderloin, BBQ Chicken, Pasta Salad, Smoked Mixed Veggies, Smoked Mac & Cheese, Cole Slaw, Fruit
  • Saturday Dinner (6/6:30 PM):  Pork Spareribs, Stuffed Hamburgers, Baked Beans, Mashed Potatoes, Cole Slaw, Marinated Portobello Mushrooms
  • Sunday Lunch:  Pulled Pork, Pork Tenderloin, BBQ Chicken, Smoked Mixed Veggies, Smoked Mac & Cheese, Pasta Salad, Cole Slaw
