==========================================================================1. Race Weekend
Poll: Please Vote Early! (RACE WEEKEND POLL: THIS IS AN EVENT BRITE POLL)
Our numbers are low for “food participation” compared to entrants in the race. PLEASE VOTE ASAP. We are working right now – 3 of us – to be ready for you this weekend. Help us make it as easy as possible.
“Team Z Race Crew” will arrive no later than Friday Morning. We have a professional big white tent set up all he way to the left of the race site. We will not have to worry about rain. Our Menus look like this for this weekend.
RACE IS STILL OPEN – RACE IS STILL OPEN – RELAYS? AQUABIKE?
** Drinks – please donate for drinks. Donations for Drinks” at the race this weekend. So far, 35 people have donated about $1 per drink for a guess of how many soda/diet soda/beer/etc they may have this weekend. By my rough math – there are 120 individual people eating 175 or so meals. So this means, only 35 people will be drinking anything aside from water.
I’m only pointing this out b/c a soda/beer is about $1/can (our cost) and a bit more even with storage fees, gas, labor, etc etc. The other 80 or so people – please don’t forget to donate towards this drink fund. Even if you have two sodas – that really adds up.
Note – the 35 people who did vote averaged 6 cans per person. That’s what I’m talking about!

Local, Unsupported Group Brick
In general the expectation is that everyone would “race” this weekend. A practice race “if you would, kind sir”. Obviously these plans don’t always fit into your schedule. Sometimes you just plain don’t want to enter the race. You choice, and we have an option for you.
Saturday there will be a group brick workout from RIley’s Lock in Poolesville Md – 8:00 AM. You will ride following cue sheets, and you will run on the W&OD trail (awesome) right next to the river and it is shaded and flat.
A. Cue Sheets: Please print your own – or anyone like to volunteer? (or members.triteamz.com – files- cue sheets – then “this weekend’s updated cue sheet folder”
B. Sign in sheet: Anyone want to volunteer?
C. Remember to be able to secure your bike inside or on your car – while you run.
D. Depending on your program – the brick distance will range from 1 hour ride and 30 min run to 3.5 hour ride and 1 hour run.
E. Location/Address/Directions/Tips on speed camera – Riley’s Lock
D. Google Map https://goo.gl/maps/c7YihvdKEew

Optional Hang out and Ride/brick at Kinetic
If not racing, you are encouraged to come down and just hang out! Help. Chill. Read a book and learn. Bring your family. Everyone is welcome to eat – enjoy our tent/shelter, and a nice day at the lake. Just try to get them a support crew or other Team Z shirt (some will be for sale at the race).
You may come down to Kinetic and do your brick workout. Arrrive at the appropriate times, train after the race is over or even go “backwards” on the course so you can cheer and are clearnly not in the race. Do not use race provided food, etc.

Practice swim opportunities at Kinetic
There are buoys in the water – they get moved due to boating during the day, but still possibly usable? Worse case – there is a swimming area tha tis about 75-100 yards long and is waste deep. Those of you looking for an open water practice — YOU CAN’T BEAT THIS!
Lifeguards and a beach. Good for kids and parents.
YOU CAN’T BEAT THIS. Watch a race, then learn! We feed you food, you hang out an meet people. Its an EASY EASY drive to the race. I hope to see you there, and VOTE VOTE VOTE on that food poll even if it is late on Saturday. We watch it to make sure we don’t run out of food -but we certainly do not want to have to shop late…
So make the commitment now and come on down! Bring the family, bring the dog…spend the day at the lake!
